Location of North Island

The location of North Island within the nation.

North Island is one of the islands of the Southern Arc Islands. It lies at the north(east)ern end of the archipelago; hence, its name. The island is an important point for the Route to Greenland project, with the route travelling north from the island across some small islands to Greenland. The island's landscape is quite rugged, and there are numerous pine forests. Major settlements on the island include Greenlandside and Shale's Valley.

The island belongs to the North Island District.
